This is a very suitable solution to the very popular air conditioning failure on the 88-91 CRX. Over time, the unit's weight will take its toll on the two weakest parts of the air conditioner's plastic bracket. And one click. Rather than shelling out $100-$300 for another used air conditioner (can go anytime), I decided to give this one a try. But instead of using double sided tape on the faceplate, I tore it off and welded the faceplate to the reconditioned air conditioner. Photos are attached. If I had a problem I would ask the manufacturer to make the holes a bit bigger on either side. Using the original screw to reinstall a refurbished air conditioner can be problematic as it is a bit tight. You really need to tighten the screw to enlarge the included hole.
