Review on ๐Ÿš— Bingfu Dual Band VHF UHF NMO Mount Antenna for Vehicle Ham Radio, Car Truck, Two Way Radio, Marine VHF Radio โ€“ Low Profile, 136-174MHz 400-470MHz Amateur Radio by Gene Rosado

No dual band antenna! But it's good for one.

This walkie-talkie has many bad qualities and one surprisingly good and unexpected one. In short, this antenna is terrible at 2 meters. My SWR meter was marked red and I only tried talking to it briefly before turning off the radio for fear of damaging it. Definitely don't go there. The 70cm was slightly better, sometimes with SWR values of 2 or lower, but still not fantastic. The overall feel of the construction is quite cheap, where the black plastic meets the metal ring that houses the threads there is a small gap that might allow water to get in. However, the threads work well with NMO-style mounts. Although this antenna is generally terrible at 2m and good at 70cm, it shines with a slightly longer range than the GMRS. Out of curiosity, I connected it to my Midland Microcar and turned it on. SWR 1.4 or less constantly on all channels! It seems to me that this antenna as a whole has some utility, albeit not in the way advertised. conventional dual band antenna. Buy at your own risk, but if you're looking for a new hidden GMRS antenna, you may have just found a bargain.KJ7CTJ
