I hung these in my 11' x 20' porch, after stringing a 3/32" wire back and forth to hang them from. The 2 connected 50' strings fit very nicely with 50 bulbs total, 1 every 2 feet.The app connects via Bluetooth. I plugged the string into a Z-wave plug to automate when the lights go on and off. I use the app to program colors.Each bulb is individually addressable. I initially hung them for Christmas and used a Christmas theme for colors, but later decided to alternate red and green. Now, after the holidays, they're blue and white.I partially crushed one bulb while putting the string up. It had no affect on the functionality. It's like a ping pong ball, and is removable/replaceable. Mine doesn't really need to be replaced.If I had to complain about anything, it's that I couldn't find a string with a z-wave controller. Bluetooth has some limitations in comparison.
