Works very well for car backup cameras

I was going to downgrade to four stars due to a fault in the monitor mounting hardware but didn't because it was easy to fix and the unit works very well. The problem was that the metal plate that attaches to the back of the monitor so that it sticks to the window's magnetic mount is attached with some type of glue that fails when heated for a long period of time, e.g. B. in a very hot car. I ended up reattaching mine with 3m contact cement which works great and I'm sure it won't come loose in the future. one specific to your model. I didn't read the instructions that came with it carefully (so yes it was my fault) and used the wrong pairing method, but once I used the correct one it connected straight away and has been working great ever since. The picture lasts a few seconds. shows up as soon as you put your car in reverse, but I think that's pretty much the standard for these aftermarket wireless cameras. Customer service is very good and if your experience is similar to mine you will get a very quick response (just a few hours for me). This camera has been working great since installation. The picture is very clear day and night. Note that wireless means you don't need to run cables from the rear-car-mounted camera to the monitor up front, but you still need to connect the camera to a power source. source near the camera. I connected my wire to one of the taillight taillights, which in my case was very easy. It shouldn't be difficult, but if you're not comfortable, just ask a regular mechanic to do it for you, they won't find it difficult. I want to use it and then save it to the console when I'm driving just because my dash already has a lot of clutter and I wanted the monitor there when I was using it and I didn't have to hang the cord down. This is a godsend for reversing as I have a pickup truck with a lot of blind spots and it's pre 2014 so no backup camera was needed when I bought the truck. The camera has been working great since installation and is reasonably priced. Update 6/23/2021 I'm pretty sure leaving this device plugged into the auxiliary socket on my truck's dash drained the battery. It definitely consumes idle power, and I think that's significant parasitic consumption. It will feel warm after being left overnight. This particular car is sometimes not used for 2 or 3 days but it has never had any problem starting and now I unplugged the unit after using the truck and the problem has been fixed. I could hook it up to a power source that shuts off when I turn off the truck, but now that I know what it is, don't worry. It's okay, but it's important to know if anyone is having a similar problem.
