Excellent tire as described. I fully recommend this tire and also recommend visiting the Continental website for more information on this tire. I commute 14 miles downtown every day, lots of sidewalks and some sidewalks with broken glass from beer bottles. I ride a Cannondale Hybrid Dual Sport, this bike comes with studded tires. I've had a couple of flat tires so I've had to use spike resistant inner tubes and Mr.Tuffy rim tape, the addition of those two protective factors has kept me safe on the road and I haven't had a flat tire afterwards. Now I wanted to improve my rolling resistance and was looking for new tires, more road friendly, without studs. I chose these Conti Contact Plus tires because they reliably protect me from punctures. My goal is to use normal lamps with these Conti and not have flats. The Million Dollar Question: Does this offer the same, less, more protection as my previous setup? I guess so, I'm not 100% sure, but I kind of count on this tire to be better than studs and rim tape because 1 of these tires weighs more than my previous tire, plus studs, plus rim tape. 2, the description of what it consists of convinces me that it is. 3, I did a pressure test (just pressed with my fingernail to see which one is stiffer. The Conti seems to have a stiffer profile and the sidewalls are 100% stronger. My first ride was in heavy rain and these tires performed great is working). . No slipping, full hold. I liked the water diversion the best. My previous tires were studded in the rain, the front tire spattered in the rain and got my arms and chest wet, and my backpack had streaks of brown mud. These conti push water forward and down, water does not splash from the front or rear wheel. They look good, feel nice, rolling resistance is better since I improved arrival time and I really like the safety pinstripe around the wheel. When light hits it, it's very bright. One last thing to know about tire size: check the ETRTO tire size and you can't go wrong.
