Ideal for baby food and other kitchen uses

PERFECT for chopping and chopping baby food. My 9 month old daughter started refusing commercial baby food (can't blame her - it tastes and smells awful) but kept wanting to eat our food off the table. Instead of tediously grinding everything with a fork or chewing for her, or making huge batches in my food processor that she won't eat, I set out to find the right coffee grinder. I've tried small food processors, but they didn't get the food to a smooth consistency and left dangerously large chunks when I cooked small batches. The immersion blender only pureed food with a high water content and was therefore useless for meat and beans. Specialized baby food mills were the epitome of terrible engineering (why on earth would you press food by turning the handle parallel to the food?). Enter this mill. It's exactly what I wanted: compact and efficient, and a bonus: it's handheld so it travels. How well does it work? Well, to give you an example, I just tucked in some raw pepper strips with meatballs, rice and curry sauce. Within 20 seconds and with virtually no effort, I had the perfect puree/thick puree that I'm sure baby will love. My only complaint is that there was some kind of glue on the blades so I had to soak them in vinegar and dish soap overnight and they wiped them really well to remove them. Worth every penny. Buy it!
