Review on Lund 4436 Challenger Series 36-inch Bright Utility Chest with Convenient Handles by Glen Needham

The only way to compare similar chests was through reviews, but most reviews were vague and said little about them. I chose this one based on the less negative reviews. I'm lucky, it's a good chest. The ones I got was called Lund, not Deflecta-Shield, but they are the same, no problem for me. Advantages. The most important thing for me was the ability to stand on it. In fact, two people can have no problem, a very hard top due to the good support under the lid. It has a very polished finish and the seams have good welds. The paddle latch and lock work well and are of decent quality. It has a single stand in the middle which is pretty solid and should hold up over time. Cons: The metal isn't very thick and after loading my gear I had to be careful pressing it against the back of the truck, wanting to twirl a bit. Competitive models can use aluminum of the same thickness to be honest, I don't know. For my use, the chest needs to be strong enough to withstand it over time. Overall I am happy with the purchase, I would recommend purchasing Deflecta-Shield/Lund.
