I bought this L-10 pan head to use with the IFOOTAGE Cobra 2 A-180 II monopod. As I use an L-Bracket mirrorless camera, I quickly found that after mounting the camera on this head and loosening the secure and well-made locking knob, the "tilt" direction was 90 degrees opposite of the desired tilt direction! The camera/lens is tilted left/right, not up/down! Obviously this was a problem as the monopod rotates left/right quite easily for panning. I really wanted the head to control the up and down movement. Of course I could have swapped out the head for one with a built in pan/tilt function, but after some thought and research I simply added a Promaster head to the top of the L-10. This allowed the camera/lens to be rotated 90 degrees and aligned perfectly with the L-10 tilt. Not to mention smoothly controlled panning. The problem is solved! All this to say that the SIRUI L-10 tilt head is highly recommended for its excellent build quality.
