Sirui L 20S 2 Way Levelling Heads Review

I thought it was well built. I bought it to use a large lens camera on a telescope. it's great for this and also right on my tripod.

Great head for my monopod; also Shirui. I should have gone for a quick release plate. The grip gets awkward at times. Otherwise it is very well made and runs smoothly.

Like every other part I've bought from Shirui, this head is incredibly well made! And believe me: I'm an old Swiss engineer who loves well designed and manufactured parts. Surface cleanliness, precision and smooth running are simply amazing! It is not necessary, as with many other manufacturers of photo parts, to cover the head with textured paint to conceal imperfections. No, just clean and smooth hard anodized surfaces, nothing to cover. This is a gem!

This is definitely one of the best monopods and tripod heads on the market. It features a base that allows 360° swivel, an extra-large Swiss Arca plate, and large knobs for easy locking and unlocking. But best of all, you can change the direction of the platform 90˚ to accommodate the L bracket so it can be moved up and down. Simply unscrew and twist the nut on top of the platform. The tilt head looked good but was unusable as the base plate did not open wide enough to accept the included Arca Swiss or Sirui plate. Also, the user couldn't unscrew the bottom plate and rotate it 90 degrees (to go from the telephoto foot to the camera's L-angle). This was posted by Revain but supplied by the GearOne Center. I bought this L-10 pan head to use with the IFOOTAGE Cobra 2 A-180 II monopod. As I use an L-Bracket mirrorless camera, I quickly found that after mounting the camera on this head and loosening the secure and well-made locking knob, the "tilt" direction was 90 degrees opposite of the desired tilt direction!
