Review on πŸšͺ Ives by Schlage 230B10B Sliding Door Edge Pull: Streamlined Accessory for Effortless Door Opening by Kaushik Hall

Difficult to install but works well and looks good.

I bought these for a pair of pocket doors that didn't come pre-drilled for door hardware. I'm a total newbie to woodworking so installation was a bit tricky. I had to drill a corner hole for the "trigger" portion of the latch to go into the door when not in use, and then use a couple of chisels to cut out a rectangular area of the metal plate. Then, through trial and error, other spots were gouged until everything was flush with the edge of the door and the descending portion worked smoothly and had room to open and close. I'm not sure if that was the right way. about the installation, but there were no instructions. Perhaps there is a special tool that will facilitate this task. They look good and the trigger moves smoothly and returns to its bore after a few months of use.
