I was a little concerned that the vest might get wet on your shirt and pants, but once you wring the vest out it's fine. Her shirt felt slightly damp.

Vest for my daughter (she doesn't know how to regulate body temperature) in the heat. I was a little concerned that the vest might get wet on your shirt and pants, but once you wring the vest out it's fine. Her shirt felt a little damp, if anything. I've actually experienced it a bit myself and plan on getting one for myself when I'm mowing the lawn or working in the garden. My daughter uses it when she's at the playground and she doesn't even realize it. She has it - she stays cool and I'm not worried about her overheating. It should be noted that these types of vests are not as effective in really wet conditions - they still work, but not as well due to the humidity in the air.
