Network adapter driver for OS X Catalina needs revision

The manufacturer provides a RAR archive that you need to expand. OS X doesn't have a rar dearchiver by default, so you'll either have to find one (it's easy) or use another operating system that supports the rar file extension. This additional step is not required to complete the device driver installation. In order to install the latest driver available at the time of writing this article (filename: AX88179_178A_macOS_10.15_above_Driver_Installer_v2.16.0.rar), you need to enable a blocked extension in OS X Security & Privacy that will not work in future versions of OS X. When I emailed UGreen support about the issue, they asked me to contact Revain instead of providing a properly updated driver. I suggest paying extra money to get an Apple supported USB-C network adapter. Apple sells a Belkin USB-C network adapter and Revain also sells the same one, which I'll try next.
