I bought this to replace extension cords and splitters in my living room. I didn't really know how long the cord was and was very pleasantly surprised at how long it was! I was able to easily stretch it from the outlet to where I wanted it, about a third of the way across the room. I like the presence of USB ports and multiple three-pronged outlets. I also really appreciate being able to have half of the outlets on while the other half are off. To be honest I'm considering buying another one for my bedroom to get rid of extension cords that don't sit on the carpet. The permanent design is great!
