We inflated it immediately to check if everything was ok. BUT we didn't leave it inflated for more than an hour or so. When we first used it on a trip, the mattress slowly lost air over time. We spotted, inflated and checked all the valves just before bed to make sure they were securely closed. At night it would lose air fairly quickly and stay flat long before morning. It's been a lousy night, I'm trying to sleep. Unfortunately we have exceeded the return period and are stuck with a cheap product that doesn't work. That's a waste of money. Do not buy.
