Works great with Raspberry Pi

This monitor works great with my Raspberry Pi. I use it for long flights. For me it worked right away and I didn't have to mess with the Pi settings. Also, it runs on this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008YRG5JQ) power adapter so it's completely portable and doesn't require a power outlet. It was easy to do. The included power cord connects to the red input on the LCD. At the other end there are 2 wires, red and black. I took the USB cable and cut off one end. When you cut the USB cable, you are left with 4 wires: red (+), black (-), white (data +), and green (data -). Essentially, you only want to use red and black since you're not using data here. Solder red to red and black to black. Tie off the green and white, making sure they stay intact. Use heat shrink tubing to keep it looking neat. Then I just connected the USB end to EasyAcc 5v 2.1A (or even lower) and you have a portable screen for your Pi. In fact you can charge both screen and Pi from the bank with 5v 1.3A for Pi carry out. A few notes: 1. If you are using yellow component video for the LCD, you should NOT connect HDMI when booting the Pi. Even if you disable HDMI, it will not switch to component if HDMI was connected at boot.2. There is no blue or blurry screen on the LCD, and no power button. That means if you don't have a video signal, it stays as if it wasn't there at all. Even if you apply power to the LCD, it won't turn on until a video is displayed.
