I bought this harness for my 8 week old Brittany puppy. I wanted to have a harness ready when we picked her up from the breeder, so we could let her out for potty breaks during the car ride home. Obviously, I couldn't measure her beforehand, so I ordered the both the XXS and the XS to be on the safe side. The XS fit her right from the start (she started out with a 14in chest circumference), so I returned the XXS unused.This harness is nice and cheap, so not much will be wasted when she inevitably outgrows it, but until then, both the neck and chest straps can be readjusted to fir as she grows. (She's now 10 weeks old, and I've had to adjust the chest strap to 16in.) It's a really light weight harness, which is good since she wasn't used to wearing ANYTHING at all, so it was easier to adjust to something lightweight. The harness is definitely sturdy enough to hold a 2 month old puppy, though I can't promise how it would hold up against a stronger dog. After a little over 2 weeks of wear, I've noticed one of the seems has come loose. I'm not worried though. By the time this thing falls apart, she'll have outgrown it already. Once she's big enough, I plan on buying a different style of harness, with a ring in the front, anyway.
