This multimeter is very good for its price but has some issues that prevent it from getting the full 5 stars. It's fairly accurate after using a lot of voltage and resistance, and a sonic continuity tester is very useful, especially when checking things like cells or cables for proper continuity. Honestly this is a great tool to have in your tool bag and a multimeter is very useful for any electrical work in the automotive industry, small electronics or just around the house. Especially in this price range around 10β¬ it's worth it, but it has some disadvantages: 1. The wires are of lower quality than you might expect, they don't have the feel and most likely not the durability of other lines. I like the protective caps that insulate the wires from the pen tip versus the uncapped ones that make them look more like probes, and the caps sit well directly on the pens2. I didn't have the rubber protector they admired in the original Amazon picture when I ordered. I checked all over the box and it didn't have this3. Accessing the battery is ridiculous. If you come across a situation that you need to replace the 9V battery, it is quite troublesome and you will need to replace it soon if you keep it for a long time after the batteries run out OR if you use it frequently. This involves removing the four screws on the back of the unit and accessing the multimeter's main circuit board to swap them out, then screwing them back in. This could easily be done with an easy-to-access door and airtight seal, but instead they seal it inside the unit, making replacement difficult.4. As someone else mentioned, they clearly lure people into 5 star reviews and I'm not sure if that's against Amazon policy, but I also don't have time to report it to Amazon support like I did with other fake reviews of other products I've bought. The box contains a brochure/leaflet/paper stating that you will receive other free or interesting items in exchange for a five star rating on the Amazon site and then email it with a link for the rating. This destroys any reason to review the product and help others! Instead of creating fake accounts and bots, they simply force buyers to quickly write a review even if the product is bad, and then give it five stars. Overall it's a great device with a few hiccups, but for under $14 it's definitely worth throwing in your tool bag if you're doing car or chores from home.
