Review on Cuisinart MCP194-20N MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 4-Quart Saucepan with Lid - Top Pick for Kitchen Cookware by Steven Mazie

Great pan for pasta!

I had a Cuisinart 3L Chef's Classic casserole and loved the size and shape. I have a number of Cook's Standard layering pans that I like, but the Cuisinart models with handles are slightly larger in diameter and work well with the single burner on the glass range top that I use. I wanted another pot, similar to the 3 liter Chef Classic but maybe a little bigger, so I decided to try this 4 liter model. I often cook fresh pasta and this pan is very suitable for the job. I've been using the Cook's Standard 1.5L Layered Pan for a long time. The frying pan itself of these two brands is almost the same - the same dimensions, very similar weight and design, identical characteristics. The handles and top are slightly different. If you are interested in purchasing a layered pan of this size, you don't have a choice between these two pans. Just choose the cheaper one or the one you like the most. They work well and are nice, heavy little pots that are perfect for boiling a couple of eggs, rice for 1 or 2 people, reheating a batch of frozen bolognese sauce, etc.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Makes me angry
