Well it works. That's probably the only pleasant thing I can say. I don't know how it got such positive feedback from others. The MA170+ sounds flat, lifeless, dull, boring, soul sucking and dead. It has almost no bass, very bad mids and very bad highs. I'm not sure if the amp was designed that way or if it was defective. Anyway, he was sent back to Revane. Remember I used the MA170+ in the same room and with the same speakers (rated at 95 decibels per meter per watt) and speaker cables as my main system, which sounds amazing. I just replaced the kinter with my main amp. Before I bought it I found a video review online where a very knowledgeable person tested it on an oscilloscope and it actually showed good results, but don't let that fool you. It sounds really BAD. It sucked every bit of life out of one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. On a good system this song almost brings me to tears. On the MA170+ it sounded like a 1960's transistor radio - no exaggeration. I don't mind the Kinter and wasn't expecting much for such a cheap price, but this amp isn't worth your time and effort. Sorry Kinter, but you gotta do better than that!
