GENUINE DEAL IN TWO WIRE CONNECTORS
I needed an extension to my apartment for the trailer wiring on my wife's van when I added a spare wheel holder and had to move the license plate bracket and lights - I took one of these carefully clipped and what I did could leave it that way and cut the other end off as soon as I thought about it and soldered it to the license plate light wire - it works great and sticks into the trailer wire connector on the floor and hooks up the daytime running lights perfectly. The male/female male/female also connects to other two-wire connectors.
