I was pleased that this is a durable and long cable for my home office and couch office🤓 but I was wondering why my MBP DIES even when plugged in overnight. When I opened it, the "recharge" icon shows that it does what you would expect. However, on closer inspection I noticed that since it was plugged into the mains it would be a LOSS OF BATTERY! I tested this theory and in fact the laptop died while I was plugged in while looking at it. When I switch to my standard Apple OEM cable, it charges and stays charged throughout my daily use. I believe this is a cable caliber issue. Although the outer rubber coating is thick, the insulated power cable does not meet the requirements. This is a bad business practice often employed by fly-by-night companies. SMH. say differently.
