At first I thought it came with the dishes but then it occurred to me that I can buy it at Ikea or any beer bar. Nothing wrong with that. I love the lamination of the bamboo and I can see the fingers connected with glue. Another plus: you kept the fiber straight, that's another plus. I can say that there is nothing wrong with this product. I may have a scoop on the shelf, along with another brewpub paddle and a set of glasses. Or use it sometime for root beer or whatever. I know something about how wood products are made from my description of how they are made from bamboo.
