Review on ⚡️ Enhanced Victron Energy BlueSolar MPPT 100V 50A 12/24V Solar Charge Controller by Fred Whitehead

Great controller.

This controller seems to draw energy from the clouds. I tried two Tracer series MPPT controllers (10A RN and 20A BN series). They're good, but compared to this controller, they're slow to respond to rapidly changing cloud conditions in the Pacific Northwest near the Canadian border. Quick overview of likes: - It finds mpp quickly and seems to create local profiles for sharing. back in rapidly changing conditions (from direct sun to dark rain and right in the middle). - In a parallel test, this controller reliably collects at least 10% more power from my Lensun 80W 12V panels than any of my Tracer controllers. - It has built-in battery charge profiles that you can select from the watch face, including one for LiFePO4 batteries. - The documentation is clear and in English. - Firmware updates are installed quickly and error-free. Additional things that make this controller so much better for me: - Victron ToolKit app for a full list of blink codes so you know what program the controller is running. The information is in the manual, but the animated app gave me peace of mind that I wasn't going to damage the LFP's battery. (The install disk doesn't indicate what position it's rotated to, so blink codes are the only way to be sure.) It was handy to have a cable calculator to confirm wire sizes, lengths, and voltage drops. - Bluetooth dongle. Not required as indicators on the controller will clearly tell you if you are in Volumetric, Absorption or Float mode. However, if you're a geek/geek like me and want to see settings in detail, can you rely on your battery while the controller is in action and monitor performance? It's worth the entrance fee.
