Quality, balanced sound with good bass

Good, punchy bass for such a compact device. That's what the owner of significantly more powerful speakers says, I'm actually impressed. Good old-fashioned engineering makes a difference - unlike most other micro devices, Sony has managed to incorporate a passive heatsink that works like a subwoofer to actually reproduce the bass. The lack of these features puts it a league above the competition.
