Review on Pioneer WYS Series Heat Pump Systems - Enhanced Wi-Fi Remote Programming and Access Module by Logan Broadnax

Ignore the negative reviews and just follow THESE instructions!

This article has a rather clumsy manufacturer's instructions. I followed the instructions provided as well as the instructions provided by the Revain reviewer "Ubachukwu O". I'm copying his instructions below to clarify/simplify some things for you. Step 1: Turn off the power of your AC device using the switch. Plug this USB device into the USB port on the inside cover of your AC unit (the part that's INSIDE your home). You don't need to remove any other covers, just lift the cover, it's on the left side of the flap opening (probably over your head since the flap is open). Step 2: Restore power by turning the switch back on. Step 3: Turn on the power supply using the handheld remote that came with the power supply. Press the "Follow me" LED button (bottom right corner of the remote control) 7 times. Each time you should hear a beep. If it doesn't beep, keep pressing. You should hear 7 beeps and each time the temperature LED on the device will turn off or on. At the 7th beep, it will display "AP” instead of the temperature and start flashing. Step 4: Place 1 QR code sticker (my WiFi module contains at least 3 of them) on the AC box, in a place where you can easily take a picture or scan the barcode. Step 5 Download "NETHOME Plus” APP on iPhone or Android phone. Step 6: Launch the app and follow the instructions. Click on "Add device". You will be prompted to create an account and then scan the QR code sticker you have placed on the device. Once the picture is taken, you will be taken to another screen that will ask you to change the Wi-Fi settings ON YOUR MOBILE DEVICE. In other words, it will ask you to keep the app open, but then open your phone's WiFi settings and connect to net_ac. (something like that). You can find the password and the exact SSID in the instructions that came with the WLAN module. Once connected, you will be prompted to configure the AC unit's Wi-Fi, e.g. B. to indicate which wireless router the AC unit should be connected to. Enter your router's SSID and your password for it (the same password you would give to a friend who wants to connect to your WiFi) and you're done. That's all! If you have trouble, just start over. The key puts the device in AP mode. If you haven't done this, it won't even try to use the new Wi-Fi module and your phone won't find a network to set up because the Wi-Fi module isn't connected to the device yet. Hope this is helpful! It's not as simple and perfect as my EcoBee3 thermostat or anything (which, let's be honest, costs three times as much!), but once set up it works really, really well and all you have to do is open the app and to use. it is after. Enjoy!
