it may be a little pricey for what they are but they do exactly what i need so i give 5 stars! I make salads in jars for a week and then just toss them in my bag (they take up less space than bowl-shaped containers and they're glass but not as heavy as my Pyrex containers). I reused the metal rings and seals that came with the jars but they got too rusty to continue so I replaced them with plastic lids and these seals. Just a note, the tab in the seal faces the lid and fits into the little plastic tab on the lid - the first few times I thought the tab was meant to be pointing down towards the mouth of the jar. They used to fit very well, but now that I've found out, they fit perfectly! So perfect that it's difficult to pull out to clean, but maybe I can just throw everything on the top shelf and not bother with it.
