Transmitter and receiver work fine, however.

Installed and tested, works well over 100 feet WHEN WORKING. The problem is that the sensor doesn't work until the curb mailbox is open a full 180 degrees (i.e. straight down). A postman rarely does that. I'm going to use a light angle iron to rotate the device 90 degrees to see if that helps. But for an extra $5 they could use a mercury switch.
