In general they are quite easy to use. The wiring is fairly easy and the instructions are pretty clear, which isn't always typical of these imported controllers. The absolute best thing about this particular controller is that it has an output to drive a solid state relay directly so you don't need many other accessories to use this with an SSR. Another good point is that the temperature can be set to display in Fahrenheit or Celsius, which many PID controllers don't have. I have used this in conjunction with a high temperature Type K thermocouple for oven temperature control which I have modified for other purposes. You can watch as the unit quickly "learns” the heating and cooling profile and automatically adjusts to where it maintains the oven temperature to within a few degrees by delivering the correct current pulses to the heating elements.
