Light and strong enough for the unlucky kitty. I bought this carrier because it fit under an airplane seat when I brought my 12 week old kitten Lola home to Boston from North Carolina. She wasn't impressed and tried her best to get out of it, but she couldn't. It's definitely not for a large cat - she fit in at 2lbs and had plenty of room to roam. The big cat might be a little crushed. It was definitely worth the €20 I paid for it. I've used it for several vet visits since then. Love the fact that it folds up for storage and won't be easily crushed by a cat jumping on it.
