Review on 🔌 Enhanced OWC Digital Thermal Sensor HDD Upgrade Cable for iMac 2009-2010 (Model: OWCDIDIMACHDD09) by Joseph Scalea

Worked great with a mid 2010 iMac. Replaced original HDD with Samsung EVO 850 500GV SSD. No issues with the fan so this thing did the trick. 40 dollars for a small thing is too much in my opinion. At least it should include a mount for this price. Use the OWC and iFixit YouTube videos for step-by-step instructions. A recommendation: connecting the monitor cable to the motherboard during assembly proved to be the most difficult step, as there was not enough room to insert and latch the connector. After several attempts and almost damaging the connector, I managed to remove the cable from the back of the monitor, after which I was able to conveniently connect and fix it to the motherboard. After that, it was very easy to reconnect it to the monitor. You may not experience the same thing, but if you do, this is a great way to avoid damaging the connector.
