Clever purchase especially for beginners

Worth the money. Not quite rustproof beauty, but surprisingly light and more powerful than ANY coffee grinder, especially when working with finer grinds. I bought this after last time I ground pork finer (hamburger) and had an emulsified mush when filling because the auger on the meat grinder didn't press the meat. I've been making a lot of sausages for a long time and have done so, but not to this extent. Yes the meat was very cold and the correct methods were followed and even my professional meat grinder failed. Some meats are just softer. Do yourself a favor and skip the ยฃ2 model in favor of the ยฃ5 model. While you're fine with batches under 2 pounds, the chances of this change are very high, especially when others taste the results and start asking you to be their sausage man. With this filler I can stuff any piece of meat into the intestines. Unlike the mill, not much is left at first. Take a wooden needle that fits snugly into the tube, start with a small amount of meat that didn't fall down the chute (like they used to do when hoppers filled sausages), then use the needle to push it through the tube . The smallest uses a 1/2" dowel, then 5/8", 3/4", and 7/8". Two clear improvements for the manufacturer: the supplied clamp must be at least 2.5 cm larger and the tubes must be longer. It's a good move to include a clamp as the suction cup won't work on some surfaces, but people don't always have a table to work with. Often it is a countertop and the clip will not fit most countertops. I had one for a manual pasta maker that works well enough but really needs attention. Also, the tubes are too short to fit in a long shell, particularly the stiffer collagen shell. Many longer cases can handle 10 pounds in a single shot, but tubes don't hold that much. My grinder tubes are 1 1/2 inches longer and can accommodate over 10 pounds of casing.
