Easy installation. Secure 3 wires and connect 3 others with butt connectors or wire nuts. I used wire nuts and taped them just like the original wiring harness. I cut off the original wiring rigidity leaving enough room to reconnect it to the original connector in case GM or ACDelco decide to go back and glue it back to the connector. After struggling with the fan fan connector, I found it much easier to get to when I removed the glove box. I did this on my 2003 GMC Envoy with the ignition key off and individual driver and passenger auto controls, and still managed to blow the fan motor's 40 amp fuse when I cut the existing stiffening wire. I even checked with a meter that there was 0 volts between Batt and GND, but I believe the voltage was on the purple control line. This scenario might be limited to car models, but you should probably pull the 40A fuse, which by the way costs $5 at your local parts store, to replace!
