Review on Deadening Soundproof Protective Insulation Dampening by Sirious Cavalli

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works! But don't expect absolute silence.

Welp. That's it, the first review for this product. I voluntarily pay my respects. Package: You will get 2 parts to install - the larger part that goes closer to the trunk opening and the smaller part that goes closer to the back of the trunk. The big piece only has 2 screw holes and some double sided tape. The small piece only has screw holes and no double-sided tape. The instructions came on a piece of paper with a link to YouTube. Easy.Installation: I watched the video but it's very easy. No drilling or handling of the machine is required. Everything is included. The installation is as follows: Mount the screws. Align the parts in the trunk. Insert these screws into the holes somehow and tighten them. Did! Some parts of the double sided tape weren't that sticky, but the end tucks in easily so it stays in place pretty well. Let's see how long this lasts. I'm 5'10", pretty average, and I just had to lie in the trunk. A couple of my neighbors stole a glance my way, and it probably took me the best effort to wheel him around, but I couldn't do anything. Various City streets. The subwoofer still works perfectly - the product doesn't affect it in any way despite being in the trunk. What it does is dampen some of the road noise a bit, by 10% I think. It's almost imperceptible , but I've received comments that it seems a little quieter.I'd like to know if other owners with better units can test the sound difference to be sure. It's a relatively cheap product at the moment given the bare metal in the trunk covers and muffles some of the noise so I am very happy with this product.. Trust me your clothes will thank me.* Wear pants without studs the back if you don't like scratches on your car. Lowercase "L".* Bring a flashlight for installation. i used my phone *Ensure the smaller part closer to the back of the trunk is installed first BUT do not screw in the part overlapping the larger part until you have the larger part closest to the trunk opening , have installed. The small part needs to be on top of the big one before you screw it in if you don't want weird sag in the middle of the part.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection
