Just had my first cup of coffee from this kettle after brewing the kettle first with vinegar and water and then only 3 water. The taste was just perfect and it was totally hot. It is also easy to use and the hopper/filter door swing function works flawlessly. I had concerns before buying it, but it's ok. The permanent filter is a plus as I find it wasteful to use paper. My tiny kitchen has limited countertop space and takes up very little space. This is your usual cute little coffee maker. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
