Review on Optimized FlashForge Adventurer Version 3D Printer by Matt Welch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Recommended for anyone looking for a plug and play printer with Wi-Fi and a removable build plate.

I searched for a long time before I decided on this printer. And now, after weeks of use and over a dozen details, it's time for a review. Good… Great looks and small footprint (partner approved), Wi-Fi, ABS compatible detachable flexible build sheet and sealed to keep dust out and fumes controlled. It's also quieter than an inkjet printer. The V2 comes with 3 different attachments and an additional build plate. And best of all for me - I got my first part up and running in under 15 minutes out of the box - it couldn't be easier to use. I know people at work who have taken a weekend to build and properly run their $180 printer. Why You Might Not Need This Printer... Smaller build footprint than a similarly priced printer (150mm cube), touchscreen can be tricky, but it works. Not open source - some of the gcode formats are Flashforges proprietary versions as well as their nozzle builds. If you are hooked on 1kg coils, these are located on the outside of the machine. The print quality is okay, but the Prusa MK 3 is better. Then it is of course almost 2 times more expensive. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a plug and play printer with wifi and a removable build plate. Hackers would be happier with an Ender clone. No matter how quiet it is, you'll still want to put it in a secluded corner of your house or apartment. Back and forth the noise of the nozzle bothers after a few hours.

Cons
