Review on ๐Ÿ”ฎ Cotchear Purple Mini USB 2.0 Card Reader - High Speed Micro SD Card Adapter for TF/MicroSD Cards Reading - Cardreader with Plastic Lid & Key Ring by Chuck Shapiro

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's inconsistent to use it with a Respberry Pi. There are no problems with the PC.

I bought these specifically for use on the Raspberry Pi 4. By default, the Pi uses a microSD card for the operating system. But you can also boot from USB. That's why I bought this - I could skip the microSD card slot on the PI and use the USB ports. But often my Pi would not boot up. I also tried using it as a storage device for the Pi but it wasn't recognized. I had no problems using it on a regular PC. If you're using a Pi, I recommend this (also on Revain) SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 card reader.

Pros
  • โ–ถ Interface type: USB interface + Micro SD (TF) card interface. Support: for Micro SD, for Micro SDHC, for Micro SDXC memory card
Cons
  • Upgradeable
