This was my first torque wrench and I wanted one for my brake, rotor and getting the lug nuts just right for safety. I chose the 3/8 because of all my sockets. I didn't think these things were delicate nor did I not know you weren't supposed to use them in reverse. I saw it had a reverse function and thought cool, but I didn't need torque specs in reverse so I figured you just used it normally to break a bolt loose then switch it to tight mode and it would click.I first used it on my oil pan bolt because my smaller socket wrench couldn't budge it. I stuck this on there and pushed with all of my might, couldn't budge it. I then took a hammer and hit it nuuuuuumerous times before the bolt finally broke lose. I then did my brake job with it next, breaking loose the caliper mounting bolts and pins. I then set the torque and used it to spec then did my lug nuts last. It was only a few google searches later that I was learning more about them that you apparently can't drop them and to never use them in reverse. This made me panic that who knew what I really torqued my lug nuts or calipers too. I ran out and bought a digital torque adapter, read the instructions, set it in PtoP mode, threw it on my torque wrench and set my wrench to 80 Ft/Lbs for my lugs to test on. It literally read exactly 80 when it clicked. Not 79.9, dead on. It was dead on as my wrench clicked on each lug. I ran down the range on the lugs, noticing it hit practically exact on until I hit the 40 ft/lb range. It started hitting 39. At 30 when it clicked, adapter would read a consistent 28ish. At 20 it was hitting about 17.7 each time. At 10, it was reading right at 7. So, in the upper ranges, I was surprised with all the abuse I put it through it was seriously dead on. In the lower range it was just the tiniest off. Maybe I just got a unicorn Epauto that performs cause a lot of reviews on here keep saying how bad they are and how bolts are snapping off left and right. I'm pretty happy with how much abuse it took, especially cause my wife left the garage door open and I had it sitting on the ground near the opening and it got soaked in rain until I got home to test it.With the thousands of reviews and people who have bought this, I'm sure there are a few defective ones, and those are the ones who usually post reviews. Truth is, you can't even find the most expensive wrench, or top quality spray gun, or honestly, any product out here at the highest end that doesn't have the same percentage of bad reviews where people say its trash. Every item has a lemon.
