    Value Torque Wrench

Admittedly, this was my first torque wrench purchase, but this EPAuto wrench seems to be intuitive and quality. I’m not sure how it would hold up being used at an auto shop; however, it will surely work for the weekend warrior like myself. I like that there is a screw to tighten the adjustment knob when you’ve selected the required torque and that the wrench makes an unmistakable clicking sound when tightened appropriately. I’d buy this wrench again, although I doubt I will have to.

    Pros
    • Well worth the money good quality and great apparatus to sore it in n
    Cons
    • May not come with a warranty or guarantee

    Perfect For My Needs!

I’ve always been a big believer that you need the right tool for the right job. This wrench certainly fits that bill. Very easy to use and comes with a storage case. Perfect! Thanks for the quick delivery too! Awesome!

    Pros
    • I needed a torque wrench in a hurry that wasn't going to break the bank and this product does the job.
    Cons
    • May not be precise enough for highly sensitive projects

Needed this for low torque project

I bought this to torque my throttle body bolts (4x) on my 2011 prerunner after a cleaning. I wanted to do a thorough cleaning and therefore needed to remove the throttle body to clean both sides. For the 2nd gen, had to torque to 9ft-lbs (108 in-lbs)which my other torque wrench only started at 20ft lbs. Needed this in-lb wrench and used some math to hit the torque needed to spec the throttle body bolts. Easy peasy. I would recommend this torque wrench to others that like to work on their…

    Pros
    • It has worked perfectly for the few builds i have done on ar15 barrel nuts
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for use with certain types of work gloves

Tiny torque wrench is ideal for bike repairs

The headline says it all. If you're fixing a bike, and it requires a certain number of newton meters of torque, you'll feel much better if you actually use a torque wrench. Ideally, you'd also have a set of Allen (hex) wrenches that fit a 1/4" drive wrench. Sure, you can do it by feel, but you'll always be under- or over-tightening the fastener, no matter how sensitive your touch. Get this wrench and be certain.

    Pros
    • Broked the first time I use it ..not worth the money for it
    Cons
    • Can be challenging to use for those with limited hand dexterity

Good tool but marking on dial disappearing

Tool is good and helped me already with my 3 cars brakes maintenance.4 stars because dial marking paint is not resistant enough to use and oils wou may have in hands or glaves. . guess you should not wipe it or touch--but hard to do when you do your job. I wish they use more resistant paint or hard marking on dial like it's on scale panel.

    Pros
    • So far so good
    Cons
    • Limited torque range may not suit all projects

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Mistakes were made.

This was my first torque wrench and I wanted one for my brake, rotor and getting the lug nuts just right for safety. I chose the 3/8 because of all my sockets. I didn't think these things were delicate nor did I not know you weren't supposed to use them in reverse. I saw it had a reverse function and thought cool, but I didn't need torque specs in reverse so I figured you just used it normally to break a bolt loose then switch it to tight mode and it would click.I first used it on my oil pan…

    Pros
    • ‎1.74 pounds
    Cons
    • May not have a wide enough torque range for all projects

Good wrench, but not made for cyclists

This is a well made torque wrench, but I bought it for my mountain bike, and it was definitely not made with the cyclist mechanic in mind. The scale is imperial, so even though the Nm values are listed, they are at weird graduations - there are marks at 4.7 and 5.6 Nm, for example. Prepare to do a lot of linear interpolation if you want exactly 5, 8 or 10 Nm. Also, this is only a one-direction torque wrench. It ratchets in both directions, but only the clockwise direction "clicks” so it won’t…

    Pros
    • Product was just as described, worked like it should. So far it appears to be accurate. Good purchase!
    Cons
    • Can be uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    It's alright: my feedback

Would neither buy it again nor recommend, but since it comes in a case and 3 adapters, all of which I need, I will keep this. This torque wrench uses a spinny crank lock at the bottom of the hilt and the torque wrench feels stiff/rough to change torque spec. This makes it a bit more difficult to change the torque specification along with longer to adjust it, however, it is still a decent tool.

    Pros
    • works great, handle's a bit stiff to turn though, its not broken, just the design.
    Cons
    • May not be capable of handling high torque levels

    It Gets The Job Done!

This EPAuto 1/2-inch Drive Click Torque Wrench is one big heavy-duty tool. I used it to apply 205 ft.-lb. of torque and it worked just fine. It is heavy and must be used with two hands, given that it is made from Hardened treated Chrome Vanadium steel alloy (Cr-V), and it's about 25" long by 2" wide (See Pictures). In addition, the case is sturdy, given that I dropped it from a height of 4 to 5 ft. a couple of times (heavy tool in case carried by one oily hand), and the case neither cracked nor

    Pros
    • Easy to use
    Cons
    • Requires regular maintenance to ensure accuracy

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ok but impossible to reach highest setting

Quality is ok except I could not dial in the highest torque setting, too tight. The numbers are hard to read as they are just groves in shiny metal.

    Cons
    • Can be noisy and disruptive when in use

    Perfect for mini split instalation

I bought this torque wrench to install a mini split in my house. The first time I installed a unit I figured I would wing the torque of the lines because I did not have a torque wrench and I ended up losing refrigerant and having to call an HVAC guy. I guess saving money cost me a lot! When I was going to install my 2nd unit I went looking for a torque wrench at my local big box store but all the ones they had started at around 30 lbs/ft, but my 1/4 line needed about 10 lbs/ft. I found this…

    Pros
    • Have not had the chance to use since I received, but the quality for the money is outstanding.
    Cons
    • May require additional tools to use effectively

Great for the price, handy for under-the-hood auto work

I bought this to do some low-torque automotive work. Just changed my spark plugs and retorqued to spec. The one I got has +/- 4% tolerance as advertised.Form factor is great. Comfortable and sturdy. The click is easy to feel/hear, the mechanism is easy to set, the case it comes in is mostly sturdy (though I'm not sure how long the latches will last), and the extra adapters are a great bonus. I panicked for a moment in the middle of disassembling my car when I realized I forgot to pick up a…

Can't get a better deal for the occasional user

I have bought this brand in 1/4 & 3/8" for use on automotive repairs at home and was very impressed with their quality, especially for the money. A good friend of mine, who is a retired auto mechanic of thirty plus years, also commented on their quality look and feel.I bought the 1/2" to round out my kit and it is just as nice as the others. Obviously, I cannot comment on the long-term durability since I won't be using it every day, but it is perfect for my use.

    Pros
    • Works great for rotating tiers. And it’s small and easy to store in the car
    Cons
    • May require a lot of space to use effectively

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

it goes CLICK where its supposed to.

A man's garage needs THREE things to be a REAL garage. an Air Compressor, Beer cooler and one of these.Works great, safer than 'guessing it' (which I done successfully for over 40 years. thank you very much), but getting into more delicate work. so. yeah. it was time.

    Pros
    • Good quality worth the money
    Cons
    • Can be expensive compared to other torque wrenches on the market

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Click is clearly noticeable even at low torque settings

A little heavy but the torque setting is clearly noticeable. No risk of over-torqueing even at a low setting of 20 in.-lbs.

    Pros
    • Nice feel easy to use work wellFast shipping
    Cons
    • May not work well in wet or humid conditions

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Good tool at affordable price.

This torque wrench seems well made. A good torque wrench is a necessary tool these days. Seem like every bolt in the newer cars have to be torqued. You can't do an oil change or even put on a tire with out having to torque down the bolts/nuts.

    Pros
    • Works great.
    Cons
    • Can be challenging to read the torque measurements

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Handy tool.: my feedback

If you understand how torque tools work, this will be easy to use. As a matter of fact, this was my first time using a torque tool. I use it every now and then to keep my tire lugs at the correct specs instead of guessing. I like it and keep it in my trunk for use if I need it.

    Pros
    • Like the feels of the weight
    Cons
    • Can be difficult to operate in low light conditions

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Fast delivery, did the job

I ordered this wrench because I needed a torque wrench that measured in in/lbs for a project working on my car. I replaced the part and the wrench arrived exactly when I needed it. It was easy to use and did the job. I can't speak to its accuracy because I don't have an easy way to check it. But it's close enough.

    Pros
    • I've had it for a few years and use it alot. It's holding up so far.
    Cons
    • Good tool

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality at a great price

I bought this wrench to torque some of the very small bolts during a timing chain job on my fiances all-aluminum Hyundai engine. I was immediately impressed with the solid feel and quality finish of this tool upon opening the hard plastic case it comes in. It's perfectly smooth and polished like a high end wrench, and feels weighty and sturdy in the hand, something I wouldn't have expected from an economy brand tool for this price. It also comes with its own extension (6 inch or so), and an…

    Pros
    • It tools p well
    Cons
    • May not be as durable as some other brands

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Inexpensive and does the job.

If you want to do more than guess, you need a tool like this to try to achieve factory specifications. I am a driveway mechanic and have no way of measuring the accuracy of this wrench, however it is alot better than nothing.

    Pros
    • Purchased this for one project and it seems to have worked well!
    Cons
    • May not be as user-friendly as other torque wrenches on the market
