My head size is right on the border between sizes and I chose the smaller version and it fits perfectly. The retention system has multiple tension adjustment slots in addition to the dial so you can really dial it in to perfection. A few little things are true - the visor is difficult to adjust. The screw in the center is under the visor itself and cannot be grasped. Someone at the factory must have thought it was fun twisting it all the way out because it's impossible to twist by hand. I had to create a tool to solve it. The guide tells you how to verify that the installation is correct, but it is not specific to the MIPS version and needs to be updated. Little things, but for such a high price they should be fixed. I haven't crashed it and don't plan to, so hopefully never, know how well it protects your head.
