I used these to connect some speaker cables to an amplifier with RCA speaker outputs. I haven't encountered any problems. The metal is very easy to solder, much easier than I expected. I used regular 60/40 lead rosin solder at 350 degrees Celsius with my cheap Yihua soldering station and chisel tip. Don't forget to put the connector shell on the cable before you start! (I forgot about this at first and had to desolder a wire.) As other reviewers have pointed out, depending on the thickness of your wires, the strain relief can be negligible, but I wouldn't consider it an impediment.
