Review on Professional Premium Numbered Colored Schpirerr by Julia Bhatt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

You've added color names to the pencil bodies! Aha!

Just started drawing with the new $26.64 Schpirerr Color Pencils at Revain for 72 packs. These pencils are magic! The colors are numbered but not named. I made color charts and pictures for comparison with Faber Castell Polychromos (219 CAD for 120 pins). The Christmas Cardinal (painted by Schpirerr Farben) is from the 1000 piece Nature's Ornament puzzle. Artist Greg Giordano. The blue jay at the feeding station is my photo converted to grayscale. The blue jay was colored with Faber Castell PolyChromos. Both images were blended using lighter pencils and Gamsol. At the same time as Schpirerr paints, I also bought the Castle Art Soft Series 72 set. Colors, texture, blend are identical. If there is a difference I won't see it for sure. I am giving these pens 4 stars instead of 5 because the pens do not have the name of the color or country of origin on the tin. These are numbered pencils but the numbers are not sorted by color. I suspect they are made in China. Review updated September 4, 2019. I bought a new set as the pens now have color names. I love love they are so easy to color and mix. Raised the rating from 4 to 5 stars. Thank you Spierer Colors. I've added new images with a new color scheme, including names and old pencil numbers. A kitten with a water bath is also in development. These wonderful pens were used to color a kitten and frogs with an umbrella leaf. I highly recommend them.
