Review on 💻 CalDigit Connect 10G - Thunderbolt 3/4 to 10Gbps Ethernet Adapter for Mac and PC by Jackie Smith

We run a video production company and are in the process of updating our server. With 6 editing machines (a combination of MBP and iMac Pro) needing access to 300TB of 6K-8K raw footage from our server, we needed a combination of adapters and cables that would provide the highest speed and throughput. We've been let down by other adapters that overheated or just didn't reach the advertised speeds. I bought several test solutions on our network and this 10G adapter turned out to be the winner. Not too bulky, fast, with excellent heat dissipation and just what our MBP with USB-C needed for network-free editing. We will buy 3-4 more! A tip: Make sure not to exceed the maximum length of USB and/or CAT cables. And buy AND test your cables. We've found that 50% of the time if you're not getting high speeds, it's because of cheap or inappropriate cables.
