Review on Gevi Burr Coffee Grinder: 35 Precise Grind Settings for Perfect Espresso, Drip, French Press Coffee & More! by Joshua Jemison

Good grinder, but not quiet

Good grinder for the price. It's definitely not quiet and sounds about the same as any other grinder of this type I've had. The grinding mechanism consists of two metal blades that grind my Trader Joe's organic whole decaffeinated beans well to an almost powdery consistency. This takes some effort as the loops tend to stick to the sides as they get smaller so I found myself hitting the top to get them to curl back towards the blades move to get an even grind. Bonus - the brush included in the kit is indispensable for removing powdered crumbs from the device. The clear plastic lid makes it easy to see the consistency of the grist during the process and cleans up with a simple rinse with water. I like that there is room at the bottom to wrap up a chord, but no room for a fork that protrudes about 2 inches from the back of the unit. This makes it difficult to store in a crowded closet and cannot be balanced with an apron, which is not aesthetically pleasing. That's why I gave it 4 stars - for that design flaw - someone on the design team could have figured out a way to make room for the plug to fit in the floor. I would repurchase if that fork storage was included in the design. Putting the fork aside, this coffee grinder gets the job done.
