Review on πŸ’Ž Drilax Diamond Concrete Masonry Bits by David Caldwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for masonry but not wood.

I bought this hole saw to vent my bathroom exhaust fan through the side wall of my house. My house is plastered, so I chose this stone saw. This hole saw measures exactly 4 inches in diameter and is very well made. The saw cut through the plaster very well. It took some trouble and effort, but only as much as would be normal to get through 5/8 inch of concrete. No problem with stucco and drywall, but then I ended up with a 1.5 inch wooden beam. This hole saw is definitely not suitable for sawing wood. After a long time drilling through wood, I finally had to ditch the hole saw and use a saber saw. If you only use this for masonry then this is a great tool that comes highly recommended. If you have to go through a tree, you need a different tool.

Pros
  • Laser-welded diamond drill for concrete, fits a standard drill. If mishandled, this hole saw will not last more than a few uses.
Cons
  • Short Manual
