It's been a few months since I bought it and it was helpful in teaching me the basics initially, but I found that watching YouTube -Videos together with this works better. The patterns in the book are good, although I recommend checking out sites like Ravelry or even the Red Heart site for even better patterns. I have everything in the kit although my scissors and darning needle broke in 2 months. The knitting needles themselves are good to start with, but I found myself getting another set once I felt confident enough to take crocheting seriously. Overall this set is good for those who want to start and learn how to crochet.
