I'm on a budget so I have to keep track of my money. Brought this and some stickers/coloring pages for my 3 and 5 year old grandkids. They pulled it out and went into town. My 3 year old had trouble holding the stencil while scraping the "black" off. For them I need to buy big stencils with larger opening area. But given her age and agility, she did a great job. I think she's being challenged by her older brother and wants to do what he's doing. I never hear "I can't do this" from her and it's amazing. I had to play around with them to slow them down and complete the entire board before moving on to the next empty board. They would have flown the whole pack if I hadn't put a limit on them. I recommend sitting with your child the first time and observing the level of frustration. These wooden scrapers are more like a manicure stick that you use to push back your cuticles. You have to make sure the scraper is set at the right angle or you won't get any results. Once they get the hang of it, they'll love it. I will not buy again. I'll just buy paper, find big stencils and better scrapers. But it's a great disposable product.
