The new MBP requires force to insert, don't be afraid to damage the connector, just push.

that wasn't worth buying but it's great! One of the issues I have with my new MBP is that Apple removed the standard USB ports and Safe Charge feature for some stupid reason. Well, this product at least gives me the Safe Charger job back. It's not perfect, but it's Apple's fault, but this adapter is the best of a bad situation. Newer Apple products require more force to insert, don't be afraid to damage the connector, it won't happen. Great product worth buying. I will probably buy it again as a backup as it works so well.
