I installed this fan myself to replace the overhead lighting system in our master bedroom and it was very easy to do; it took about an hour. The fan looks great and is very quiet. Our bedroom is about 20 x 12 (not counting the next one and the bathroom) and this fan does a great job of keeping the room cool. The four stars are based on two reasons. First there was a small spot on the glass bowl, almost like a burn mark. It looks like a small rectangular stick has been left on it for too long. We rotated the stained side toward the back corner of the room so it's not noticeable unless you're REALLY looking at it. Finally, the fan produces a very strong odor for several days, but it completely disappears. The smell is quite strong and is clearly burnt chemical coating - it's stronger when the fan is running at full blast. Apart from that I can only recommend this fan. It's quiet, beautiful and works great.
