I actually bought these to hold paint when mixing paints for canvas. It's almost impossible to reproduce the color once it's mixed, so I like to leave a little wiggle room until I'm done with whatever I paint. However, they are small and don't seem to spill, so you can store condiments in them to make a sandwich or small salad for lunch. I can also use them to store small items like buttons or paperclips.
