Used in 2017 Rubicon Recon Unlimited. I have a stock head unit and recently installed four upgraded foosball speakers (I strongly recommend upgraded speakers over cheap stock ones and installation is fairly easy). I chose this subwoofer because the others were too big. Yes, they all fit under the passenger seat, but other subwoofers take up valuable rear seat legroom. The JKU firewall also has an opening above the glove compartment; The yellow insulation on the door does not need to be pierced. The hole is hidden behind a black insulating gasket. There is tape from the factory, but you can slide the tape aside and feed the wire through and the wire will appear on the passenger floor behind the heater box. Then change the ribbon on the firewall and you're done. The set of cables that comes with the subwoofer is pretty decent. As other reviewers have said, it fills in the bottom end that the dash speakers and soundbar lack. I keep it at a moderate level because otherwise it can be overwhelming at least with my setup. It took a few days to 'build in' but (after about a month) I'm generally very happy with it.
